It being October and all I thought a scary classic cartoon might be in order. I dug up this old 1930 classic “The Haunted Ship” one of the Aesop’s Fables cartoons out of Van Beuren Studios. It stars one of the precursors of Tom and Jerry (not MGM’s later cat and mouse duo but a tall and short human team that Van Beuren saw much success with), Waffles and Don a cat and dog team.
The skeleton animation in this one is quite impressive and the barbershop turtles are adorable.
