Supposedly Pablo Picasso was gifted at this – speaking absolute dead-ringer-for-English gibberish. I always thought that was a funny trick for an artist of his stature to have cultivated!
This is so so funny. I wonder if it was a jape on the English-language pop that was then dominating the Italian charts or what? “Hey, we can make this ourselves!” Witty, incredibly excellently executed – a tour de force, a triumph of manners and attitude.
Another example of why I class the Italians by themselves.

I never knew that little factoid about Picasso. He was a bit of a wild child I think so the fact that he was a joker too fits perfectly. I had never even heard of this skill before. I think I need to explore and find out if there is more of this stuff out there.
