“You will find me if you want me in the garden…

Square

unless it’s pouring down with rain.”

This is Einstürzende Neubauten‘s “The Garden.” I like it. I find it relaxing somehow. It is very situational..I can’t imagine listening to it often or in all circumstances. But at the right time, right place its droning trancy sound is just what the doctor ordered. Their music has been called noise therapy before and I think its an apt description for this song.

Einstürzende Neubauten is a 27 years old avante-garde German bad. 27! That’s what? A couple lifetimes in the music world right?

The band consists of Blixa Bargeld (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard), Alexander Hacke (bass, guitar, vocals), N.U. Unruh (custom-made instruments, percussion, vocals), Rudolf Moser (custom-built instruments, percussion, and vocals) and Jochen Arbeit (guitar and vocals).

Enjoy!

(Or not..may not be your cuppa. Just to warn you. You can skip down and try the other video…maybe that one is more to your liking.)

Not knowing a lot about this band…no fangirl here…. I took a look at some other videos and found this sweet one in German (subtitled) that I thought I’d share. It’s  called “Stella Maris” and features Meret Becker.
