The Invisible Made Visible…WiFi Light Painting…

Square

Really fascinating work here by Timo Arnall, Jørn Knutsen, and Einar Sneve Martinussen.

The team combined long-exposure photographs with a WiFi-signal-detecting device they designed. The signal detector is a 4-meter-long stick covered in 80 lights. The WiFi signals are displayed in lights according to their strength.

The end result is a tangible visual representation of what is normally invisible to us. We walk around all day passing through these unseen signals and this gives them form, shape, and substance.
