It was written by two brothers Amjad Farooq Alvi and Basit Farooq Alvi back in 1986. It was called simply “Brain.” And it was spread by floppy disk.
The folks over at F-Secure made a nice like documentary about their trip to Pakistan to track down the guys who wrote it and for the first time ever they gave a little video interview.
Fascinating. And I must admit I almost had a little tear in my eye at the end when he hands Brain back to the brothers.
Oh, and for the record, I wouldn’t have know the answer to a single one of the above trivia questions before having watched the video.
